An Intuitive Numerologist’s Perspective of the Eclipse

The Blood Moon Eclipse is early on 3/3/26

There’s something about a blood moon that makes even the busiest among us stop and look up. If you can drag yourself out of bed before sunrise (I’m also speaking to myself here because I’m not a morning person!) on March 3rd, I promise it will be worth it.

The Blood Moon Eclipse occurs tonight, or tomorrow morning, depending on your location. Here on the East Coast, it will begin just before 5am and turn red at 6:04am. While I have astrologer friends who can offer detailed analysis on how this might affect your chart, I’d like to share a perspective rooted in numerology and seasonal symbolism. The best part? You don’t have to know anything about astrology, astronomy or numerology to enjoy this rare event!

What causes a blood moon eclipse? In simple terms, it happens when Earth moves between the sun and the full moon, blocking most of the sun’s rays and casting the moon into shadow. The red hue appears because, while Earth blocks the bulk of the sunlight, what remains is filtered through our atmosphere, scattering the blue light and allowing red light to illuminate the moon. Pretty cool, right?

What makes this a particularly interesting moment for me as a numerologist is that it falls on 3/3/26. In the form of numerology (CAN) that I practice, this date carries a strong theme of balance tied to our somatic connection to the land. The number 3 is all about pulling back and choosing to take a bird’s-eye view of the world rather than being weighed down by it. People with this number in their charts have a gift for seeing the bigger picture when others get caught up in the details.

Now, this does not mean that details don’t matter. They absolutely do. But it’s all about balance.

So this is about scanning a tricky situation without letting it consume you: stepping back from the overload of information, taking a deep breath, and asking yourself:

“What is the priority here? What matters most when making my decision? What is simply distraction, and not meant for me to carry? And ultimately, how can this help me gain a higher perspective?”

You are not meant to hold all things. And to be clear, you shouldn’t fall into the trap of bypassing them, either. Balance, remember? So take in the information around you, empathize deeply, but direct your energy toward the places where you can actually make a difference. Are you struggling because the world feels like it’s in disarray? If you work in the food industry, consider donating your services to your community once a week. Do you work in the medical field? Share your knowledge so that people around you feel informed and empowered. Are you a writer? Put something out there: a blog post, a social media reflection, something that connects. Do you have some resources to spare? Donate to those who are on the ground supporting displaced communities.

But after you’ve done that, give yourself permission to disconnect for the rest of the week. Focus on the things that bring you joy. Be present within your body. Because when we are overloaded with anxiety and worry, we lose our ability to be in the moment, to truly experience the present. And at the end of the day, no matter what you believe in, we are here to experience being human in all its fullness. So seek out the things that once brought you great joy. The things that make you laugh out loud, inspire you to create, and move you to tears with the sheer beauty of being alive.

The 3 opens access to all of your energy centers. It allows you to connect with the land, generate new ideas, stand in your authority, love deeply, speak clearly, see through illusion, and reach toward the heavens with your gifts. Tonight and tomorrow are a genuinely beautiful time to reflect on what you want to call in this spring. And because red is the color of the root chakra, doing a grounding practice will be quite beneficial.

Here’s a brief activity to consider:

- Light a candle (a red one if you have one) or burn some sage, palo santo, or copal

- Write down something you wish to accomplish as if it is already done

- For example: “I, Yolanda, happily receive new clients who are ready to tap into their inner wisdom and higher knowing with an open heart and a deep well of curiosity.”

- Fold it and place it beneath the candle

- Then, during the Autumnal Equinox this September, read it again and burn it or release it under running water

This works beautifully because as the cooler months arrive, your body naturally begins to shift, settling into a quieter season of inner reflection and integration. A time to absorb all that you’ve experienced and witnessed in the first half of the year.

The moon will do her part. All you have to do is show up. However you choose to mark this moment, I hope it brings you a little more clarity and a little more peace. You deserve both.

And if you do set an intention, I’d love to hear about it. I always welcome emails, DMs, and questions.
